Lord Mayor's Day Parade 2007

Well done to everyone that joined in on the 19th May, there was a good turn out and a realy good day.

Plymouth’s Lord Mayor’s Day Parade 2007 will take place on Saturday May 19th.
Plymouth Pride Event will be entering a float for the event and are looking for your support. The theme for this year’s parade is the “maritime”. So it’s definitely “hello sailor”!
For this event we need volunteers:

• To help build the float.
• To be on the float or walking by its side during the parade.
• To help dismantle the float at the end of the parade.

There is a volunteers group who are working on the design and building of the float. We have a large truck kindly donated for the day by Fergusons Transport Limited http://www.fergytrux.com/. Instructions on when / where the building will take place will be emailed out to anyone who would like to help.

We are also proud to announce that Mixed Up, http://www.soundhouse.co.uk/mixedup/ will be the band on the float with us.

For anyone wishing to join the float or walk by the side, you’ll need to be in appropriate disguise – again you can email us for the instructions. Costume design instructions will be by Scott (volunteer).
